What is some awesome Goth music that is not entirely screaming?

Author: admin  //  Category: Goth Music

I love gothic type music but sometimes it’s hard to find any that isn’t just people screaming. I would like to know artists and song names if possible.

Person above me is right. There isn’t really screaming in goth music. Try these bands and songs:
A Spectre is Haunting Europe – "See You Inside"
All Gone Dead – "Just 80 Miles West"
Bauhaus – "Hollow Hills"
Bella Morte – "Funeral Night"
Christian Death – "Spiritual Cramp"
Cinema Strange – "En Hiver"
Clan of Xymox – "Jasmine and Rose"
Frank the Baptist – "Falling Stars"
The Ghost of Lemora – "Beauty Can’t Die"
Killing Miranda – "Salome"
Kommunity FK – "Something Inside Me Has Died"
London After Midnight – "Shatter (All My Dead Friends)"
The Mission UK – "Wasteland"
Play Dead – "The Tenant"
Screams for Tina – "Eleven Eleven"
Siouxsie and the Banshees – "Cities in Dust"
Specimen – "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"

Sisters of Mercy "Temple of Love"
    Siouxsie & the Banshees "Spellbound"
    Bauhaus "She’s in Parties"
    Switchblade Symphony "Dollhouse"
    Faith & the Muse "Prodigal"
    the Cruxshadows "Tears"
    March Violets "Snake Dance"
    Danse Society "Heave in Waiting"

Well, it’s not entirely true Ophelia and dc37 that no goth music contains screaming. I wouldn’t go as far as calling Nik Fiend a non-screaming artist.
Allthough it is quite rare in the "gothic punk" scene, alot of early bands used screamings and yiffings in their songs, like for instance Skeletal Family’s Anne-Marie Hurst or Ian Astbury in early Southern Death Cult.
But since this guy writing probably just like the original heavy metal shit, I’d recommend for him to go the other way around, going in from the gothic ROCK side of the spectrum.
For the questioner; you can check out bands like the Mission, the Cult/Death Cult/Southern Death Cult, the Sisters Of Mercy, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Fields Of The Nephilim to begin with, then you can gradually move on to exploring other realms of the gothic squeese of cheese. But look out for shiny, glittering fapanese electrogoth shit, that will give you negative goth points.
